"Cabochon"
comes from the Old North French word caboche, meaning
"head". Technically, it means a highly polished, dome-shaped,
unfaceted gem. These ruby, emerald, and sapphire beads vary in
color from lighter shades of red, green, and blue to more intense
deeper colors. The more vivid the color, the more expensive the
beads, but even the lesser-priced beads are very beautiful and
unique. |
