The
Display for Blackbeard's Dagger
The
base is an oval of teak wood 10" x 7". It is finished
with multiple coats of white gold leaf and lacquer. Two uncut
natural emerald crystals (provided by the customer) from the
wreck of the Spanish galleon, Atocha, were drilled at
the bottom and affixed to the base with stainless steel wire.
A socket was created in the base with holes for stainless steel
screws to hold the upper section of the display.
